Communities for Work, run by Wrexham County Council funded this session which explored mental health and wellbeing in our communities and the workplace.
Our panel members all shared their very diverse experience and work in the field of mental health.
Community engagement was excellent and some of the takeaways were the ongoing need to ensure employers have suitable training to recognise, understand and appreciate mental health, to promote the necessity of having a Mental Health First Aider and the interesting thought that employers should complete a mandatory course and/or be qualified to employ staff by first demonstrating they know and understand how to support and promote good mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
